General Motors declares its plans to include heat-pump know-how in all of its present and upcoming Ultium-platform electrical automobiles.
That contains the Hummer EV now being delivered and the soon-arriving Cadillac Lyriq, plus many more to reach within the next several years. Interestingly, GM notes that the origin of the energy restoration characteristic may be traced all the way back to the company’s EV1, which was its first electric automobile. The EV1 used a warmth pump that was developed by GM engineers on the time. The automaker says the function is on the market on all present Ultium EVs, and will also be standard in all upcoming Ultium models.
