A twenty-fold increase in manufacturing was the objective of the Croatian automotive cosmetics firm Alfa Car. To obtain this, the entire production cycle, housed in a brand new production plant, was automated. Festo provided a complete solution for more than 200 course of valves – including challenge administration.
A variety of completely different products together with water, alcohol, glycerine, surfactants, oleic and acetic acids, sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide are saved, transported, blended and bottled for the manufacturing of automotive beauty merchandise. This requires complicated process automation options. The Croatian automotive cosmetics company Alfa Car has taken an enormous step into the future: whereas building a brand new manufacturing plant, the whole production cycle was fully automated, from the raw materials to the bottling line for the completed merchandise. One level of focus was the seamless automation of the process valves.
A number of completely different substances are saved, transported, blended and bottled within the manufacturing plant.
Customised complete solution
To address the problem, the company labored along with the system integrator Arp Lučko and Festo. It could be Festo’s position to venture manage the automation of the method valves. Reliability counts
The communication between a giant quantity of totally different automated ball valves and the new plant’s higher-level management system was also decisive for optimum process automation. This requirement was met by a reliable resolution with six valve terminals kind VTUG with PROFINET bus connection. More than 200 ball valves from completely different producers could be fully automated in this means. Using a single source for the ball valve answer took the strain off each Alfa Car and Arp Lučko when it came to designing and putting in the model new system. The extensive coordination of the various course of valve suppliers, which Festo dealt with as part of its venture management temporary, also made the project easier.
